Celebrating
the Schumann bicentennial
The Schumann Requiem is an incredibly beautiful and
intensely expressive late work of which Peter Van De Graaff wrote: “That’s one
of those pieces about which I think, ‘I know I’ll never sing that, but I can
always dream!’ Wow!! Wonderful!!” And maestro Heatherington refers to the
Bruckner mass in f minor as “the greatest setting of the mass text by any
composer in the history of Western music.” Don’t miss this rare opportunity to
experience both masterpieces in a single concert.
